The city of Warner Robins is located in central Georgia in Houston County. The population was 66,588 in 2010; this represents a 36.4% increase since 2000. The Warner Robins City, GA area includes two nearby cities: Macon and Tifton. As a result, the population of the area is significantly higher than the Atlanta-Wilsonburg Combined Statistical Area.

Warner Robbins is also home to the Museum of Aviation. The museum honors the history of military aviation, and is located next to the air force base. Visitors can view displays of airplanes and ground vehicles, including the Tuskegee Airmen and Operation Desert Storm. The museum is the largest tourist attraction in Warner Robins outside of Atlanta. It's also home to a Museum of Art, a local theater and a movie theater.

The city of Warner Robins, Georgia is located 15 miles south of Macon. The city was originally known as York, but in 1941 the name was changed to Wellston to honor the railroad's chief engineer. In 1943, the United States Air Force built a military depot in the city, and this base has since expanded into the Robins Air Force Base. The base is now Georgia's largest employer and is responsible for many jobs in the city.
